Third Age Total War

One of the best mods for (still) one of the best iterations of the Total War series: Third Age Total War for Medieval II Total War: Kingdoms

The mod offers all relevant factions from LOTR on the LOTR map, unique heroes (like Gandalf, Sauron, etc.) and custom settlements!! Every faction has its own flavor and plays much more diverse then vanilla Total War. There are incredibly strong units to beat like troll and ents and scripted events that are triggered under certain conditions (like Eriador reforming to Arnor). The mod is for experienced players seeking a challenge and even supports multiplayer battles!

Get a feeling for it here (Release Trailer):

For while the fire in the heart of a single Remnant still burns... can Stratia truly have fallen?

Have you played it since the recent 3.1 update yet? More immersive and impressive than ever!!

The custom settlements add a whole new level of excitement and challenge when sieging e.g. Mordor or the Black Gate  :D

Well I just start games, cheat shittons of gold and continue producing the best units until I can destroy the enemy(Which takes surprisingly long).

But it´s really nice.
Maybe it woud be better for me to find out where you life and kill you when you are satch a Soziopath. You have enough now.

Yeah there's a few pathing issues with the new settlements. It's probably why all of the vanilla castles and such are very square. Still really sweet though, much better than any "official" lord of the rings games

I started playing 3.1 a couple of days ago and its absolutely brilliant.
Well I roleplayed gay for long time to get Asca attention as harmless one but it didnt help. I only attracted Tueten, Cicero and Grey Order...

You really should try out the Sub-Mods, too.
I enjoyed FROME a lot (Too bad there is no 3.1-version out yet) and there are some other huge Sub-Mods, too.

Man, Third Age was one of my favoritist mods ever.  If they added all these updates to it I may have to dig it out and go at it again.   Loved attacking humongous Orc/Uruk-hai  hordes with much smaller Rohirrim armies.  Epic carnage.

never did any modding to medi 2. It was a great game out of the box. Dusting it off and trying this add on. Any multi player stuff with this? Or all single player based?
