-Fancy layout will follow later,aint got time for dat atm,this is just here to let ya know that Im working on something-
Currently working on: Valley of Swamps v2,Conquest
What is VoS?VoS is a map created by CalenLoki for PW Beta 3.5B back in 2010.
What am I doing? Im removing all old/broken props,removing parts of the map that I wont use for conquest so players will have better fps(you will need them)and adding new cRPG stuffs.

Also Krex, try to make this an optimized map plox. I have no mapping experience, but I think especially using too many props causes the usual fps issues on conquest maps. For example, the many palm trees on Al-Qobab are probably the reason why it lags so badly, because you will experience fps drops immediately whenever you face the direction of the Beach no matter where you are on the map.

Im trying.
I already removed the snowy castle and with that around 150-200  props and more will follow.
Im not sure if i want to cut off parts of the city which would also save some fps,but the FPS should be ok-ish.

Removed a "few" more props.
FPS are ok,will probably do some kind of a public test before I first release it.

Don't you think the Spawn isn't a bit too far away?

True,didnt even think about that so far.Will probably add more capture points to the village and somewhere else thats about as far.will also change the spawn points to be left and right of the mountain that the point is on atm.

I don't know if you played on this map Krex, but way from attacker spawn ( mountain castle ) isn't in straight line, would be better to place it in village below. Second spawn could be at Outlaw Tavern ( that building in right top ) so attackers can use sneaky mountain path.

And there is only one way you can place capture points in New Zendar ( big city ):
1. Port
2. Marketplace
3. Keep, as final cap point

By the way, north-east of Zendar, there is hidden stronghold in cave at top of the closest mountain. Could be nice to cap too.

Hope you visited air-floating boat, it's mandatory pilgrimage target  :wink:

Yeah,of course I played it.Was my fav PW map^^
Good idea about the outlaw tavern-spawn,but I want to keep glunmar as a capture point so the other spawn point will probably be in the mercenary camp next to it.Good ideas for the capture points in NZ too,tho I want one on every gate/2 gates,might add the others too.
I found that stronghold just 5 minutes ago(never found it in PW :o ),but I removed it already,as I dont think it would have any good use.
And now STOP TELLING PEOPLE about secrets in NZ...ya know...its gonna be a suprise.We can talk about that stuff via PM but not here.
Also visited the floating boat,that was the first thing I did^^ (sadly had to remove it too because...realism n stuff :S

Im gonna end up with a lot of capture points=a lot of maptime,which will most likely be needed because of the long walks so it wouldnt really hurt to have one easily capturable.

So...most props that dont belong to where they were are removed now.Gonna add the stuff from cRPG soon(ballistas,spawnpoints etc.)and then we can-hopefully-test it some time soontm
