It does, but not with the stamina mechanic (at least last time I played). Multiplayer was literally deserted 7 days after launch, it was that bad. Maybe it's improved tho...

Spears were very fast and had native turnrate (ofc) and overhead/underarm stabs, very powerful and very high damage. There were no 2h weapons (not exaggerating, there were 0 unless you count banners that do crap damage cos they're there to 'buff' your team).

Anyone with sense trying to promote Bannerlord would be wise to pretend Viking Conquest never happened.

Oh hey Heskey, I really liked Viking conquest and as was said its pretty neat now being more stable :D

Oh hey Heskey, I really liked Viking conquest and as was said its pretty neat now being more stable :D

Still a lot of negativity around the quality it was launched at, dont want to associate the new game with those feelings. I've never seen a game/DLC get fucked that hard on steam in all my life xD review status - 'overwhelmingly negative'

I'm sure it's ok now but you cant deny the amount of flack they got, or how quickly the multiplayer servers completely emptied at release.

I hope they won't make this mistake with Bannerlord, although I am pretty sure they will. Spears are (sorry, I have to go all caps) FUCKED UP! The actual root cause is the ridiculous pierce damage mechanics, but spears literally take it to the next level. I don't have my hopes up. But we will see.

Tbh, I might throw away the game on day one, if I observe that the ridiculous stabs are still there.

I hope Bannerlord is sufficiently different to have a new meta, not just a retextured version of what we already know.

For example, the singleplayer campaign where in native:
50 pure infantry always beat 50 pure archers (without massive hero-character ramboing).
50 pure infantry always beat a mix of 50 infantry and ranged
50 pure cav always beat 50 infantry or 50 archers or any mix of the 2

It'd be tedious starting a campaign where none of this has changed.

Same here. Still I can't help but expect that they will repeat some of their fatal mistakes. Hopefully though, they have learnt from them, listened well to their audience and will successfully upgrade the formula to the next level.
