General Discussion / Re: Revive EU2?
« on: December 29, 2017, 08:42:12 PM »
We had around 70 players in strat battle yesterday, while another 70+ were on EU1 and some on DTV, so I'm pretty sure the community could handle a split at this point, especially because siege is usually not played 24/7 like EU1 (I was up till 5:30am last yeldurht and EU1 had at least 10 players all the time).

Biggest issue is probably getting players to actually join. Even with 150 players on EU1, some will always prefer battle over siege, and others could fear that switching to siege will just kill the population and there won't be enough people on either modes.

Something like happy hours at different times could be interesting I guess. So there would be double XP on EU1 at 7 and double XP on EU2 at 8. And yeah, ladders on siege are retarded. Attackers get inside withing seconds after start, maps are not designed for that.

Did anyone update the siege-cycle? Because other than ladders, there were plenty of maps unsuited for low population in it, too. At least prior to the first death of this mod. Anything beyond 60 players should be fine, though. That was usually the cut-off for conquest maps.

We're working on some pretty cool shit, but I can't say more at this point. In spirit (not in gameplay), it's much closer to cRPG.  :D

I think i just came.

Why not just wait for bonerlord and/or prepare for a possible successor to crpg over there? I know without an official release date it's still too early to start, but we're definitely close to the finish line and trying to revive crpg just seems off now.

Also, if you really wanna bring this back, stop worrying about too many modes. Make battle great again and leave the rest behind. Siege and Strat revivals are way out there, imo. Especially strat will be boring as fuck without a couple hundred players.

Just why do you keep coming here then?

Out of habit. Doesn't mean I still play crpg. That chapter has ended a long time ago, and on a good note, too.

Just why do you refuse to let this mod rest in peace?!

The only real problem is how many fucking seats the AfD will be getting.

Think again. All the talk about Dani possibly still be able to get pregnant and then the sex scene.

Would very much fit the bittersweet ending we're supposed to get.

I still enjoy the show, but there is a lot to criticize, you really can't deny that. With so little time left it was awful of them to actually introduce a whole new plot in Winterfell just to kill off Baelish. Sansa should have figured it out without Bran or Arya and it'd have been done within an episode or two, leaving more time for the citadel, the tarlies, Varys, or Melisandre for example. The magnificent seven needed more screentime, too.

GRRM only giving major plotpoints is a big fucking problem for the show. It's not about the journey to these plotpoints anymore, it's just about the events themselves. And it's a tough thing to do, trying to get into the head of someone who probably has a clear vision of how it will turn out in the books.
